This female Mute Swan (pen) was rescued from being killed by bullying by other swans, she has a deformed wing and cannot fly. We thought that it would be in the birds best interest to remove it from harm and provide it with a safe haven. The swan will also help us combat weed growth in the pond, cutting down on the amount of heavy maintenance work. The swan has been named Angel due to the fact that her wings are always erect similar to an angel cake.
